1960s & 2010s

Eddie Castoria and Sol GutierrezEddie Castoria ’64 met with Sol Gutierrez ’19 and her family in La Paz, Mexico, this spring. In 2004, St. Pius X students raised over $12,500 to help fund the first of Sol’s nine back surgeries to correct severe scoliosis. Sol always had a love for SPX and returned in the spring of 2019 to attend for her senior year. She now has one year left to complete her undergraduate degree in public relations at the University of La Paz and is interning at the rehabilitation clinic where she first went as a patient as a child. Eddie says, “She definitely wants to give back as much as she can. She says hello to all her friends at Saint Pius.”

2000s

Rosabell Eales ’11 started her L.A.-based music management company, Overall Management, five years ago and represents the artists gnash, Imad Royal, Girl Wilde, alexmaax and Ilan Rubin. She was featured in the Albuquerque Journal in May. As a student at St. Pius X High School, Eales helped start Warehouse 508 to encourage creative entrepreneurship for teens.

Gabriel SanchezGabriel Sanchez ’01, CEO and co-founder of Enspectra Health, was featured as the Healthtech Leader of the Month by the University of San Francisco Roseman Institute. Enspectra is developing technology that creates virtual biopsies for non-invasive skin cancer detection. Enspectra Health in May received a Phase IIB award of $4.0 million under the National Institutes of Health’s Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) for the continued development of its novel imaging technology to aid in the evaluation of nonmelanoma skin cancers (NMSCs). The Roseman Institute supports transformative health technology companies from concept to commercialization.

2010s

Ethan Johnson '20 and Mason Davis '19Sartan teammates Ethan Johnson ’20 and Mason Davis ’19 reunited for a soccer match in Colorado Springs on April 3. Johnson scored the first goal for the University of Dallas and Davis recorded an assist for Colorado College. Colorado College won the match 5-2.

Rev. Jordan SanchezRev. Jordan Sanchez ’11, parochial vicar of Santa Maria de La Paz in Santa Fe, was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe on May 22, 2021, at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.
