Sheilah Jennings Expands SPX Experience to U.S. Senate and Beyond
Sheilah Jennings, a teacher in the English and social studies departments at St. Pius X from 2010 to 2017, took the leap to pursue a law degree in 2017.
The 2019 SPX Homecoming celebration culminated with a Sartan Football 44-0 win over Bernalillo on October 10 at Wilson Stadium. During halftime, SPX honored members of the 1999 State Champion Sartan Football Team. The Sartans also selected their Homecoming Queen and King. St. Pius X Drama presented The Bacchae by Euripides. Involved in the production were freshmen Colette Corea-Bruzzese and Bethany Padilla; sophomores Kiana Bogart, Sela Boswell, Ronan Braun, Madrid Castillo, Pascale Correa-Bruzzese, Ella Hooks and Raphael Lente; juniors Trinity Aragon, Ulban Aragon, Alexis Jordan and Monica Penn; and seniors Logan Hooks, Darcy Robinson and Samuel Valenzuela.

A desire to build on the success and existing support of Pueblo students has led Charles Reynolds ’64 to establish the newest St. Pius X Foundation endowment.
For St. Pius X senior Edie Bickel, learning 10 musical instruments has come naturally. “My mom says my native language is music,” she says with a smile.
