Michael Anthony Archuleta, age 47 of Albuquerque, died Sept. 29, 2019. He is survived by his daughter, Trinity ’23; mother, Gloria and a loving family.

Diane Dennedy-Frank ’67, age 70 of Santa Fe, died Aug. 13, 2019, after a two-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, David; children James and Daniel; grandchild Elly; and siblings Katie, Chip and Lisa. 

Alicia Valentina Fay, age 90 of Albuquerque, died Nov. 2, 2019. She is survived by her five children; Chris Fay ’73, Damon Fay ’76, Valentina Visscher ’78, Diana Fay ’81 and Laura Lerdall ’86; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William G. Fay.

Charles “Chuck” Fenolio III ’66, age 71 of Munster, Ind., died Sept. 2, 2019. He is survived by his wife Diane (Leverenz) Fenolio; four children, Charles Fenolio IV, Jason Fenolio, Kimberly Fenolio and Jeremy Fenolio; five siblings Ronald Fenolio ’67 and wife Irene ’67, Katherine (Fenolio) Stockton, Stephen Fenolio ’77, Lisa Fenolio, Jacqueline Fenolio; and ten grandchildren.

Mary Catherine McTigue Buck Fordice, age 87 of Albuquerque, died Sept. 27, 2019. She is survived by her husband, LCDR (Ret) James Edward Fordice; sons, Jim Fordice ’73, Paul Buck ’75, Mark Fordice ’81, and Matt Fordice ’86; daughters, Maripat Silva ’74, and Sharon Fordice ’79; and grandchildren, Lane Glover, Michelle Fordice, Cale Glover, Brianna Fordice and Julian Fordice; and brother, Thomas McTigue.  

Elicia “Licie” Fuentes ’11, age 26 of Albuquerque, died Sept. 29, 2019. She is survived by her parents, John and June Garcia and Arthur Fuentes; her siblings, Diego, Arthur, Joshlyn, Michael and Emma; her grandparents, Martha Saiz, Benny Saiz,; and her boyfriend, Zach Prater. 

Steve Griego, age 62 of Albuquerque, died Oct. 30, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marcella Griego 79; his stepfather Arturo Garcia; his siblings George, Rudy and Ronnie Gonzales, Evelyn Valdez, Lillian Rodriguez, Lorraine Butterfield, Junior, James, and Bobby Griego, Manuel Medina, and Lorraine Gowens; children Brian Hernandez, Leah Vogel, Alexis Scott, Aaron Griego, Sara Osborne, and Mikayla Griego; and grandchildren Sophia Vogel and Alden and Milo Scott.

Merle Grievel of Albuquerque, wife of St. Pius X High School’s Deacon Rene Grievel, died Aug. 17, 2019.

David Hellwig ’71 died June 24, 2019 after battling lung cancer. He is survived by his children, David, Nathan and Veronica Hellwig and his siblings Beth ’72, Keith ’73, Karen and Mary.  

Clifford E. (Ed) Hensley, age 89 of Hutchinson, Kan., died Oct. 22, 2019. Ed is survived by his significant other, Beth Cronhardt; children, Karen Henderson, Ronald, Patty Fletchall, and Diane Kumar; nine grandchildren including J.J. Hensley ’08, Kyle Hensley ’13, and Brooke Hensley ’14; and 3 great grandchildren. His son Ron Hensley is a member of the St. Pius X High School Foundation Board.

Delphine M. DiSera John, age 96 of Albuquerque, died April 7, 2019. She is survived by her five daughters, Cheryl Tucker ’63, Cathy John ’65, Janice Bohlman ’66, Colleen Kouri and Teddi John; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. 

Patrick Sean Leming ’79, age 58 of Albuquerque, died May 22, 2019. He is survived by his daughter, Kasey Leming; his mother, Patricia Leming-Rodgers; stepfather, James Rodgers; and brothers, Michael ’80 and William.

Luisa Martinez, age 82 of Albuquerque, died Nov. 10, 2019. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Martinez; her daughters, Rose Martinez, Barbara Martinez ’79 and Angelica Martinez ’81.

Mark Steven Martinez Jr. ’01, age 37 of Albuquerque, died Dec. 25, 2019. His survivors include his mother Geri Quintana; father Mark Martinez Sr., and siblings Marisa Roddy ’04, Lila Martinez, Cole Martinez.

John Michael Neff ’63, age 74 of Albuquerque, died Aug. 18, 2019. He is survived by his nine siblings: Kathy Neff ’64, Margaret Mortis ’68, Tom Neff ’70, Greg Neff ’72, Mary Snow ’73, Julie Gregory ’75, Terri Bottomly ’75, Patty Wallentine ’77, and Barbara Ducaj ’79, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas Donald “Don” Otero ’75, age 62, has died. He is survived by his mother Clara Otero, and sisters Francine Otero-Craven ’93 and Cheryl Cardona ’79.

Robert Roe ’78 died July 3, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Sallie Roe. 

Pauline Ann Salata, age 78 of Rio Rancho, died Sept.  28, 2019. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael John Salata; five children, Debbie ’79, Michael ’81, Wally Salata ’82, Cindy ’83, Lenore Kozlowski ’86; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Albuquerque City Councilor, District 1, Ken Sanchez, age 63 of Albuquerque, died Jan. 1, 2020. His survivors include his daughter, Jaclyn Sanchez-Zamora; his son, Christian Arias Sanchez; his brother, Steven Arias; his fiancee, Cynthia Martinez and her daughter, Ashley; his sister, Linda Sanchez; his brother, Gilbert Sanchez Jr; his grandchildren, Natalie Zamora ’15 and Kenneth Zamora.

Matthew Daniel Shaw, age 30 of Albuquerque, died July 23, 2019. His survivors include his mother Marvella Rodarte Shaw, father David Martin Shaw ’76, twin brother Robert Shaw and older brother Steven Shaw, and sister Monica Lujan Shaw.

Mary Spelman, age 87 of Albuquerque, died Sept. 6, 2019. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Henley ’74 and Pattie Hagen ’72, one son, Kevin Spelman ’78, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Susan “Suzy” Marie Thevenet, age 69 of Boulder, Colo., died Dec. 8, 2019. She is survived by a large family including her husband Timothy Chutz, five sisters, Michelle Thevenet Hughes, Renee Thevenet Rodbell ’74, Margot Thevenet ’73, Adrienne Jochum ’77, Monique Balboa ’79 and her only brother, Howard Thevenet ’73. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marie T. Walker, her father Stanley Edward Thevenet and two sisters, Robin I. Thevenet and Lise Thevenet Clark ’75

John Brian Trambley, age 79 of Albuquerque, died July 23, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Rev. John B. Trambley, President of St. Pius X High School; and daughter, Jennifer Van Wiel.

Joseph M. Zanetti Jr., age 90 of Rio Rancho, died June 28, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn; his children, Pamela Leverick, Greg Zanetti, Geoffrey Zanetti ’77and Regina Luckie ’78; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
