In Memory
Remembering alumni and family of alumni who have passed away in recent months.
Join the St. Pius X High School community for the Black and Gold Gala on Aug. 20, 2022, at Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town.
The featured speaker will be St. Pius X’s own Phil Zuber, who retired in 2018, but continues to support the school and its mission. He spent four decades asking his student’s to “keep it real.” While teaching classic literature and advanced writing skills, along with coaching boys and girls basketball along the way, Zuber guided his students to realize a sense of self. “The senior curriculum is wrapped around the theme of identity,” he said during his final teaching years. “If students can get clues about who they are, they can make good decisions. We keep it real.”
“This special night of elegance and entertainment is a great opportunity to gather a table of St. Pius alumni or St. Pius parents for a night of friendship and fun,” added Jean Marie Skipp ’87, SPX Associate Director of Advancement and Alumni. “We are so happy to be able to come together again to celebrate St. Pius X High School.”
The gala, benefitting the St. Pius X High School Foundation and its support of students, will include dinner and dancing, along with silent and live auctions. For information on reserving a table and tickets or promoting your business to the SPX family through a sponsorship, contact Skipp at (505) 831-8500 or [email protected].
